Our Story

Dear Expectant Parent,

We are in awe of your courage and strength in seeking an adoption plan. We want you to know how much love we have to give to your baby. It is a love that has been built over the last 16 years through our time together and that will only continue to grow.

Your baby will become part of our everyday lives. As they grow, they will have so many adventures. They will have a lot of cousins and friends to play with, and a lot of family members who will want to hold them forever.

We met 16 years ago while out with friends at a local bar. We had a mutual friend we were with that night. From there we went on dinner dates, nature walks and horseback ridings, and an engagement 6 months later. We were both in school and working to save for a wedding a year and a half later. We have always been hard-working individuals with a passion to start a family.

We have built a strong foundation and beautiful life that we are eager to share with our future child. This consists of a strong support system, a safe home, and a quiet neighborhood. Daniel is a cardiac sonographer, and Tricia is a veterinary technician. We live with our loving dog, Dorothea.

Our promise is to share your story with love and respect. Your child will know how much love you have for them and the courage it took to make an adoption plan.

Even though we don’t know you yet, we think about you often and send you positive energy and prayers. We look forward to meeting you.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We want you to know we are 2 individuals who will love your baby with all our hearts. We will cherish them, show up for them, and love them unconditionally.

With a grateful heart,

Daniel and Tricia

We want you to know that we will love your baby beyond measure. Your choice of adoption is one of immense strength and generosity. Adoption is a familiar word in our family. Sarah was adopted by her parents and she understands both the challenges and triumphs of that experience from the child’s perspective. We would be excited and honored to give that same unconditional love to your baby. Our battle with secondary, unexplained infertility has been a message from God that adoption is our path to grow our family. Infertility has been hard, but getting to follow in Sarah’s parents’ footsteps is powerful. To share a little about us – Kennedy loves her friends and family. Her favorite things to do are being with her animals, riding horses, snowboarding, and playing music with her dad, Cameron. Cameron is an athlete and a musician. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these things. Hearing the first note of any song, he can tell you who sings it, and what year it was released. Oh yeah-and he loves Jeopardy! Sarah has a great love for horses and has been riding since she was a young child. Snowboarding, water sports, and hiking were a staple of her childhood as well. We are a very active family that loves the outdoors. Traveling with our families happen several times a year. We are so blessed to have a life rich with family traditions and opportunities to explore the world together. Week nights are usually spent playing guitar, piano, singing and dancing together. Board games such as SKYJO, Guess Who, and Candy Land are some of Kennedy’s favorites. Catan, RummiKub, Heads Up and cribbage get broken out once Kennedy goes to sleep. That’s also when the newest Stand-up specials get turned on. We try our best to live a healthy lifestyle by cooking, baking, and gardening. We prepare and can healthy home-grown foods for the season and tend to our chickens (a favorite for Kennedy)! We are Christians. We encourage curiosity, and finding a moral compass that provides a happy and stable life for our family. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us. We deeply respect the care and thoughtfulness of your decision and are committed to honoring your trust by giving your child a life full of love, laughter and cherished memories. Our promise is to provide them with endless opportunities for growth and happiness. Once again, we are humbled by your courage and selflessness and thank you with all our hearts. Screenshot

Hello there! My name is Kirstin (said Share-stin). Thank you for considering me as a potential parent for your baby. I am so excited to tell you more about myself and the people I love. About Me I’m a cheerful, hard-working single lady who teaches at a university. I’ve got an incredibly strong relationship with my parents, not to mention a squad of friends who are The Best™. My job allows me to be home five days a week, and any child in my family qualifies for free tuition at the university I work at. Each day in our family is a new adventure, between teaching, hanging out with my friends, and trying to learn new things to bake. When I’m not cooking, I can often be found cuddling my dogs, watching my favorite movies, or working in the garden. But, I also love to travel and experience new cultures. Hobbies: Cooking Traveling Reading Art Writing Sewing Baking Going to concerts Craft nights with friends Attending musicals and plays Favorite Shows: Ghosts, Great British Baking Show, and The Repair Shop Favorite Movies: Miss Congeniality, The Court Jester, Captain America: The Winter Soldier Favorite Vacation: Yellowstone National Park Favorite Places: Ireland and New Zealand Our Neighborhood I live in a cute Tudor-style house in a quiet neighborhood with my parents, Mat and Paula. Our backyard has about twenty rose bushes in the ‘secret garden’ half of the yard. On the other side of the yard is our vegetable garden. We love to grow a lot of our own vegetables and fruit; there’s nothing like fresh strawberries! Just a couple of blocks away from our house is a darling park, and in the other direction is our local library. Pretty much everyone in the neighborhood knows us (mostly because the dogs love to say hi to anyone they see on our walks). We’re also part of a close-knit church community, and most Sundays I walk to church. Family Traditions Every Christmas we get ornaments that represent something important for the year In the winter, we put luminaria in front of the house Halloween is when our extended family gets together for a Not-So-Spooky Dinners Every other year, we go on vacation to Yellowstone National Park Two or three times a day, we take the dogs on a walk We play silly roadtrip games Going on a trip to Disney with my friends every couple of years Traveling abroad every couple of years At the end of the night, we always have a family hug and “I love you” Family and Friends Mat, my dad, likes to collect rocks and loves to tell jokes Paula, my mom, is an amazing artist (though she’s too shy to say so) My uncles Roger and Brent and my Aunt Nadine all live just fifteen minutes away Kylie is my best friend of nearly 25 years, and she’s my sister in all but blood Jamie is one of my most dependable and adventurous friends Mis amigas Sami, Issa, and Martha are some of my biggest cheerleaders Aly is a labor and delivery nurse, and we love to go on far flung trips together My friend Holly is incredibly supportive and a giant Marvel comics nerd My promise I promise to love your child no matter what. Every night I will read them a bedtime story and tell them how loved they are. And, I will do my best to help them become the best version of whoever they want to be. I will do everything I can do to surround them with love, warmth, laughter, safety, and adventure. I also want to keep the lines of communication open between you and I. We can decide together whether that means visits, calls, letters, or a mix of those things. I just want you to be sure your child is doing well and let them know where they came from. Thank you for considering me as a parent for your child. Thank you for the love you are showing your child – for the way you are trying to do your best for them.
