Our Story
Dear Expectant Parent,
Thank you for taking the time to read about us, and for considering us to be part of your adoption journey. We can only imagine the strength, love, and courage it takes to face the decision before you. We want you to know that we see you, and we honor the care and devotion guiding you as you think about what is best for your child. Our hope is that, as you read more about us, you will come to know us more fully and get a sense of the life we hope to build as parents.
We have been together for ten years and married for six. Our first date took us cliff jumping over a waterfall, and we’ve been diving headfirst into life’s adventures from that moment on!
We have been preparing for this moment for a long time and have approached this process with care and intention. Through countless hours of reading, classes, and talking to adoptive families, we’ve done all we can to prepare for this next step in our lives.
Still, no amount of preparation will allow us to fully understand what you may be feeling as you read these words. We know this moment carries many emotions, and we deeply respect how challenging this process may be.
If we are chosen to be part of your child’s life, we promise to honor your story and theirs. We promise to raise your child surrounded by love and unwavering support. Our home is one built on compassion and joy, and we would be deeply grateful to share it with your child. Growing up, our parents worked tirelessly to give us the kind of life they never had, and that’s exactly what we are going to do for our future children.
We’re fortunate to have a life that takes us all over the globe. We have opportunities to travel, learn new languages, understand new cultures, and meet fascinating people. Should you choose us to be the parents to your child, we promise to continue building their world in a way where they will grow up with wonder, fascination, and the recognition that our love for them holds no limits.
While we are fortunate to work abroad, we are also lucky to have wonderful family on the east coast with whom we enjoy spending our time. Both of our parents can’t stop talking about how excited they are to be grandparents and to welcome a child into their lives! At the same time, our siblings are looking forward to being aunts and uncles.
We promise that your child will grow up in a home with laughter, love, and the knowledge that they are cherished and valued. Your incredible act of love will forever be a part of their story, and we promise you to honor it.
We know this is not an easy path, and we’re profoundly humbled by the strength it takes to walk it and the trust it takes to consider adoptive parents. Whatever you decide, we wish you peace, clarity, and support as you move forward.

We will encourage them to consider these things in whatever path they choose to take in life. We will also remind them it’s important to take time to laugh & appreciate everything they have. I (Kate) met Ed 16 years ago online. I messaged Ed when I realized his profile had more heart & humor than the rest. Within our first conversation, we both knew we found a match in mental energy, playful banter, loyalty, & affection. We both work from home & make coffee together in the morning. We have a home-cooked meal at night & talk about anything & everything. On the weekends, we like going to concerts, shows, & our local drive-in movie theater. We also enjoy relaxing with movie nights, playing board games, trying new restaurants, & picking fruit at our local orchard. We love to travel! We learn as much as we can, try new foods, & often go hiking & kayaking. We enjoy museums, along with exploring the hidden gems of every destination. We live in a home in the country. We moved in not long after we got married ten years ago. We enjoy eating dinner with our family, including nieces & nephew, once a week. We look forward to finding out what new family traditions a little one might inspire. We will enjoy finding out what activities light them up. If you choose us, we will always be truthful to your child & everyone we know about their journey & your love that has made it possible. We want to approach their story & your important part in it with all of our enthusiasm so they will feel genuinely uplifted by their life experiences & everything you have done for them. It will bring us deep happiness watching them grow & have new experiences! We will love spending time with them & encouraging them to lead a fulfilling life. He has always been a caring, hard-working guy who wants to lead a good life & will carry this attitude & his desire to build a solid foundation into starting a family. He makes the best of what life brings. His own experiences & lessons from those around him have taught him much, & he will bring all of his wisdom & empathy into fatherhood. Kate loves authentic conversations, story-telling, listening, cooking, taking walks in the woods, rollerblading, creative problem-solving, singing, & playing the occasional instrument. She has always enjoyed sharing music & creative activities with the children in her life & appreciates helping them to express & find their own creativity. She is beyond excited to become a parent.

Hello, we are Martha and Matt, and we’re so grateful you’re taking a moment to get to know us! Adoption has been on our hearts since we started dating, and we can’t wait to become parents and build a family together. We believe that true connection with a child is about unconditional love, understanding, and building a chosen family. To us, adoption feels like a calling, something deeply meaningful and intentional. We can’t wait to welcome a child into our lives and cheer them on every step of the way! OUR STORY They say to “marry your best friend,” and that’s exactly what we did. From the moment we met at a friend’s bonfire, we clicked and quickly became inseparable. A couple of years and a few dates later, we said “I do.” 11 years later, we are still loving life together. We run our own business, so our open schedules let us enjoy little everyday adventures, like taking breaks at the beach with our dog, riding bikes at the bay, visiting the zoo, or exploring new places in our city. A BIT ABOUT MATTHEW Matt has a talent for pretty much anything he sets his mind to. Whether he’s tinkering with computers, taking on house projects, or exploring new video games, he is always mastering some new task. He also has a knack for building things around the house and yard. Matt’s sense of humor keeps life fun and fresh, always making sure everyone has a good time. He’s the steady heart of our home—kind, thoughtful, loving, and endlessly supportive. A BIT ABOUT MARTHA Martha is hard-working and brings creativity, patience, and warmth into our lives. In her free time, she loves painting, reading, renovation projects around the house, and cooking. She also has a real knack for business and enjoys building & managing our rental company. She is always there for her friends and family. She is the glue that holds our home together. We want you to know that we will love your baby beyond measure. Your choice of adoption is one of immense strength and generosity. Adoption is a familiar word in our family. Sarah was adopted by her parents and she understands both the challenges and triumphs of that experience from the child’s perspective. We would be excited and honored to give that same unconditional love to your baby. Our battle with secondary, unexplained infertility has been a message from God that adoption is our path to grow our family. Infertility has been hard, but getting to follow in Sarah’s parents’ footsteps is powerful. To share a little about us – Kennedy loves her friends and family. Her favorite things to do are being with her animals, riding horses, snowboarding, and playing music with her dad, Cameron. Cameron is an athlete and a musician. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these things. Hearing the first note of any song, he can tell you who sings it, and what year it was released. Oh yeah-and he loves Jeopardy! Sarah has a great love for horses and has been riding since she was a young child. Snowboarding, water sports, and hiking were a staple of her childhood as well. We are a very active family that loves the outdoors. Traveling with our families happen several times a year. We are so blessed to have a life rich with family traditions and opportunities to explore the world together. Week nights are usually spent playing guitar, piano, singing and dancing together. Board games such as SKYJO, Guess Who, and Candy Land are some of Kennedy’s favorites. Catan, RummiKub, Heads Up and cribbage get broken out once Kennedy goes to sleep. That’s also when the newest Stand-up specials get turned on. We try our best to live a healthy lifestyle by cooking, baking, and gardening. We prepare and can healthy home-grown foods for the season and tend to our chickens (a favorite for Kennedy)! We are Christians. We encourage curiosity, and finding a moral compass that provides a happy and stable life for our family. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us.
