Hello! We are Joe and Connor, and we are thrilled that you are interested in learning more about our family. We thank you for considering adoption for your baby, and deeply admire you for your strength and courage.
Who We Are
We have been together for 7 years, married for the last 2 years, and have enjoyed many great adventures together along the way.
We are an outdoorsy and adventurous couple who enjoys nature, cooking, camping, gardening, and the holidays. When having fun around home, we love going out for Sushi or Thai food, playing board games, watching movies, and going all-out with Christmas and Halloween decorations!
We are proud of the life we have built together and becoming dads and growing our family through adoption has always been something we wanted to pursue. We feel that we are at a great and stable place in our lives to bring a child into our family.
About Connor
Hi! I’m Connor. I currently work as a child mental health therapist for an organization focused on community-based mental health. I love working with kids and seeing the growth that children and families can make through therapy. I used to work as a school counselor but am enjoying the therapeutic setting more! I hope to open my own practice one day.
Outside of work, I enjoy pursuing creative activities like pottery, writing, and community theater, gardening, and staying active with Joe. I love spending time with my family who lives close by and doing activities with our nephews.
About Joe
Hi! I’m Joe. I currently work for an environmental consulting firm that focuses on restoring fish habitat in rivers and streams. My job is 90% office work, and 10% fieldwork to sites within a few hours of our home. I really enjoy working from home which gives me a lot of flexibility and autonomy.
I enjoy staying active whether that be running with the dogs, hiking with Connor, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or doing yoga at home. I love being outside and going on adventures with Connor, family, and friends.
Our Promise
One of our most important roles as parents is being that rock or stable foundation for your child, so that they can feel safe and secure to explore the world around them. We will provide this environment through a safe and stable home, supportive relationships with us and our extended families, and by always being a grounding force of unconditional love.
Our goal is to raise your child to be kind to themselves and others, be the best version of themselves that they can be, and to develop into an independent and self-sufficient adult. We are open to you cultivating your own role in your child’s life if you desire through open adoption, and are also open to continued contact so you can stay informed of your child’s wellbeing and development. A child’s connection with their birth parents has value in many ways and we want to honor your part of your child’s story and the future connection that you may wish to have with them.
