Thanksgiving
What a special time of year. It is good to have a reminder about how many blessings we have in our lives. Learning to be grateful for what we have is a step toward being happier and having more joy in our lives. There are no happy people who are not also grateful.
At A Act of Love we are grateful for our wonderful birth mothers and adoptive families. We know that we are blessed to have you as part of our lives! Thank you! We hope that you take time to feel gratitude and joy in your hearts this month! Happy Thanksgiving!
November Adoption Month
November is National Adoption month- a month set aside to raise awareness about the urgent need for adoptive families for children and youth in foster care.
The history of National Adoption month dates back to 1976 when Massachusetts Governor Mike Dukakis announced the first Adoption Week. Governor Dukakis's idea grew in popularity and quickly spread nationwide. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the first National Adoption Week, and in 1995, under President Bill Clinton, the week was expanded to the entire month of November.
Veterans Day
Happy Veterans Day to all! We want to thank everyone whose lives have been and are affected on a daily basis . Dieter Kunkel, who is the husband of A Act of Love Adoptions Founder Kathy Kunek, served in Vietnam. We are grateful for the sacrifice of brave men and women who help us enjoy the freedoms we have.

We continue our Facebook Live videos every Wednesday. This month we covered topics for adoptive families like application processes and for birth parents topics like counseling. Please, make sure you watch the videos to strengthen your knowledge about adoption. Many more related topics are coming too.
