Adoption Newsletter August 2002

Message From A Act of Love

August is traditionally a month that represents new beginnings as we return from vacations and go back to school. That is different this year- everything has seemed different this year- however, the concept of new beginnings is ongoing for adoption. We see that when a birth mom decides to put her baby’s life and future first. We see it when a family gets a new baby into their homes they have waited so long for. That baby also gets the opportunity to have a life beginning that is full of potential. We are grateful for adoption and what it means for so many people.

Starting The Adoption Process

This month Linda, from our adoptive families team, took the time to explain how to start the adoption process. We know that when you start the adoption journey, it looks like a long and complicated journey, and it is. But as Linda explained, having the right team guiding you on the way makes the process easier and faster. You can watch Linda’s video here:

Birth Mother Application Packet

Deni took the time to explain more about our birth mother application packet. When a birth mother applies for adoption, there is a packet and information about the process we send to them. This packet includes everything you need to place your baby for adoption. We tried to make this packet easy to follow, however, it is best when someone at our team of A Act of Love can guide you through the process of filling it out. You can check Deni’s video here:

Book Day

On August 9th we celebrated Book Day. We know that books have played an incredibly important role in history. There are amazing books about adoption that we love. For birth parents and families inspirational books can be of good help to inspire them in their adoption process. For little kids, books can open opportunities to unlock their imagination. That is why, as part of our appreciation for little children and adoption, our team of A Act of Love donated some of our favorite books to an elementary school.  You can check out our service video clicking here

Also, Linda took the time to share some great books about adoption, you can check that video here:
