Dear Birth Parent,
Though we do not know you yet, we already have a place for you in our hearts. We pray for you as you face one of the toughest decisions of your life and we wish you well, not matter the outcome. We hope as you look through these pages and read our words, that you are able to see how loved a child would be as part of our family.
We have hoped and prayed for a child for years and can promise that a child placed into our arms will get all the love, support, and guidance you could imagine. They will be raised knowing that they were placed from God’s arms, to your arms, to ours and that each member of that chain loves them and has always wanted what is best for them.
We believe that the more a child knows about their adoption story the better, so they will always know you. We are happy to stay in as much, or as little, contact as you feel comfortable with. As a military family, we cannot always guarantee in-person visits, but are happy to exchange photos, letters, emails, etc. and do video chats.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your time and consideration of us as potential adoptive parents for your precious little one. We pray for you to feel peace in whatever you choose, and would be truly honored if that choice was us.

What Jessi thinks: As cliche as it sounds, Jimmy is perfect for me. From the moment we started dating he instinctively knew how to take care of me. He works incredibly hard and nothing makes more proud than seeing him live out his dream as a pilot. My heart melts every time I see him with a child and I know he will be the best daddy to our children.
A little bit about Jessi:
-I love to read
-The beach is one of my favorite places to be
-My favorite color is purple
-Family is everything to me
-My dream job is as a doula/wellness coach for pregnant and new moms
-I also love working with young children as a nanny and teacher
-My favorite food is chocolate chip cookies
-I prefer small groups of close friends
-I love elephants
-My favorite travel spot has been Thailand
What Jimmy thinks: Jessi is the most incredible person I’ve ever met. She is thoughtful. She is giving. She is always thinking of ways to help other people. She also has the biggest heart. She isn’t perfect, but she’s perfect for me. I know she will be the greatest mom.
A little bit about us:
We met in October 2015, but only saw each other as casual acquaintances. That all changed in December 2015, when we started hanging out over our Christmas break. We had our first official date on January 1st, 2016. We fell in love pretty quickly and by April we were engaged. Jessi asked her mom how quickly she could plan a wedding; she said two months. Two months it was and we were married on June 28th, 2016.
Jimmy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force. Jessi graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education; she works as a nanny and a substitute teacher. After graduating from College, we became a full-fledged military family. Jimmy attended pilot training where he found out what plane he would be and that his job as a Pilot would take us to England.
We love to travel and go on adventures together. We’ve been to places like Cancun, Saipan, Korea, Scotland and Paris and we’ve gone on skiing, scuba diving, and hiking adventures. We are so excited to have a little one to take adventure with.
We both come from large families and believe that families are forever. We are so grateful for the ones that we have. Everyone has been so supportive of our adoption journey and they are so excited to welcome another little one to love. We also have a pup named Scamp. We rescued him when he was 1 year old and he quickly stole our hearts. His two favorite things are going for walks and snuggling with us on the couch.
We are excited to take the best parts of both of our families and create a family culture of our own. Jimmy’s family loves playing board games together and eating good food. Jessi’s family also loves to eat and enjoys card games. Jessi’s family has a very strong German heritage, with many family traditions, that we can’t wait to celebrate. Her favorite is Christmas Advent. Jimmy’s favorite family tradition is reading the Nativity story every Christmas Eve.We can’t wait to introduce these traditions to our children and create new ones of our own.

-We believe that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us very much and that we can pray to him for guidance and peace.
-We believe that faith in God and faith in oneself are two of the most important things a person can have.
-We believe that children flourish best in an environment of love, patience, and respect.
-We believe in the value of hard work; we want our children to know that they can have success in life if they are willing to work hard and stand back up when they fall.
What adoption means to us:
We started trying to grow our family in February 2017. After a year of trying and another year of working with fertility doctors, we did a round of IVF in January 2019. When that failed our hearts broke. We weren’t sure what our next step should be.
We started praying for guidance and felt like adoption was the next stop on our path to parenthood. We weren’t quite sure how it would all work with us living overseas, but all the pieces fell into place so beautifully.
We are so incredibly excited and grateful to add a precious little one to our family.
We fully intend to start sharing our child’s adoption story with them from the very beginning. They will know where they came from and that they were loved and cared for before they came to us. We strongly believe in the benefits of an open adoption and, as long as it is in the child’s best interests, we would love for you to be a part of our child’s life. We also want to respect your privacy and journey; whatever level on contact you are comfortable with we will strive to support you.
We could never thank you enough for your consideration of us as your baby’s adoptive parents. We have waited for so long to grow our family and cannot wait to give them all the love, snuggles, and adventures.
We know that the decision you have ahead of you is not an easy one, but please know that we pray for you; we pray for you to have peace and clarity, we pray for you to have guidance and strength, and we pray for you to trust yourself.
