Hello,
Thank you for taking time to get to know us! We are truly honored that you would consider us to be your child’s adoptive family. We are Megan and Patrick, a married couple of nearly 5 years currently living in Tanzania, East Africa. We met during college orientation in 2013 and have been together ever since. Patrick works as a diplomat, and his career affords us the amazing opportunity to live and work in beautiful countries all around the world. As a globe-trotting couple, we are ready for any adventure life offers, and we believe parenting will be our most extraordinary adventure yet.
We are strongly in favor of an Open Adoption and want you to be as much a part of your child’s life as you’d like to be. You will forever hold a special place as your child’s first family, and we want them to know who they come from. We promise that your child will grow up knowing how much you love them; we promise to treat your story with respect; and we promise to share pictures and stories of your child’s milestones so you can share in the joy of watching them grow.
About Megan
Megan was born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania with one younger sister and many cousins who feel like siblings. Megan loves reading, singing, baking chocolate chip cookies, and spending time with friends. As a huge animal lover, Megan can often be found snuggling our two cats, Lily and Fluffer. Megan’s family has many cherished holiday traditions—including carving jack-o-lanterns, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade together, and wearing matching Christmas pajamas—which she looks forward to continuing with our children. Megan believes a good cup of coffee can make anywhere feel like home. Some of her most fond memories are at her grandma’s kitchen table, playing games while enjoying a fresh pot of coffee.
About Patrick
Patrick was born and raised in Pennsylvania. The youngest of three children, he has an older brother and a twin sister. Patrick is passionate about education, and his dream job is to be an economics professor or an admissions counselor at a university. At home, you can usually find Patrick crocheting – a skill his Great Grandmother passed down when Patrick was 7 years old, and one he can’t wait to pass down to our kids too. Patrick loves to play piano, trumpet, and sing. Our house is always filled with the sound of music, and we can’t wait to form our own family band with pots and pans.
In time, we would love to get to know you better, and to hear your story, as well. We are incredibly grateful for you, and we wish you all the very best.
With love,
Megan and Patrick
