Dear Expectant Parent,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We have such respect for you and the decision you are making of who will parent your child. We know you want the best for your baby, and your strength and courage leave us humbled.
We are Gautier and Katie, and we live in Europe. Gautier is from Belgium, and Katie is American and moved to Europe for her job in 2015. We were introduced by mutual friends in 2016, and after our first date, the rest was history. We were married in 2018 and are excited to grow our family.
We have been trying to have a baby for several years. While infertility is heartbreaking, we never lost sight of our ultimate goal—having a family. We are confident that adoption is the best path for us. Our family and friends have been tremendously supportive of our decision, and we know that they will love and nurture our future child alongside us.
Even though we grew up in different countries and have different backgrounds, we share the same values and interests. We think of ourselves as a team and have deep respect and admiration for each other. We value each other’s kindness and really cherish time spent together.
Together, we enjoy:
• traveling
• trying new restaurants
• going for walks and hikes
• playing card games
We are both animal lovers and share our home with Percy the 13-year-old cat and Mozart the 2-year-old bunny.
Gautier is lighthearted, caring and curious, and he really enjoys:
• indoor climbing
• reading
• playing the piano
Katie is friendly and driven with a quiet, calm demeanor, and she really enjoys:
• baking
• running
• word puzzles
