Dearest Birthparents,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Although we cannot fully appreciate the challenging decision you are making, know that we are grateful that you are considering us to love and raise your baby. We have enormous respect and admiration for you. As prospective parents, we can only promise you this: we will raise your child with all of the love, devotion, and empathy we have in our hearts.
Throughout our lives we’ve been devoted to family, and we’ve worked hard to build a deep sense of community among the people we’ve met along the way. We think it is these qualities that will enable us to be loving and strong parents, ready to face head-on the many challenges that might come along the way. We hope that our profile provides some insight into who we are and how we love, and gives you peace of mind during this very important time in you and your baby’s lives.
In a nutshell, we are Andre and Tal. We met in 2014 and enjoyed a relatively slow courtship. We were undergrads attending different universities, we both worked to provide for ourselves, and it was a particularly snowy winter that year. Still, we persisted. Our first date was dinner and dancing, and we learned that we both speak four languages. Our second date was at the movies, where we learned that neither of us can sing Disney songs in tune. By the time our third-date picnic was over, we were completely attached. Over the next few years, we got married, adopted two dogs, began working for the government, and moved to Mexico for our first work assignment! Life has been a fantastic journey for us, and we are excited to raise a child in this wonderful and exciting life.

Tal is a kind spirit. Keen on justice, fairness, and equality, he dug deeply into his studies in International Relations, intent to find solutions for all the world’s problems. He’s led a career that has allowed him to touch the lives of aspiring young minds, sharing with them his passions for learning and civic engagement.
About Andre | by Tal
Andre is, at heart, a Southern boy. He was raised in a small farm town in Georgia known for its sweet onions, he drinks sweet tea, and he prides himself on his hospitality. Despite that he’s lived in California and the District of Columbia., and that his military service has taken him to the Middle East and back, he has held tightly to his Southern charm.
Our Interests
Most of our hobbies are pretty standard: traveling, reading, movies, television, and exercise. We have a sizable board game collection that ranges from Monopoly to Settlers of Catan, and we enjoy having neighbors over for board game night. Andre plays tennis and likes to run marathons (mostly half-marathons these days), and Tal swims laps and can name nearly every Pokémon in existence.
And of course, there’s our two dogs that we love so much, and who are as spoiled as any two dogs can be. We take them on long walks daily, and our youngest dog can’t get enough of running after frisbees or tennis balls. They take so well to children, and we look forward to introducing them to the newest member of our family.
