Birth mother Rachel and Birth Father Jeremy, Utah residents were just starting to get on their feet and into a stable living situation. They lived in different households because they each had children living with them. They were doing their very best to blend their families and make life happy for their children.
Then things started to change. Rachel found out very unexpectedly that she was pregnant. Early in the pregnancy, Rachel knew that there was something different than when she was expecting her other children. The doctor confirmed that Rachel was pregnant with twins. Rachel, Jeremy and their children were excited, but reality began to set in. Jeremy’s work hours were cut back, and they were struggling to make ends meet.
After much discussion, and after going through many emotions, Rachel and Jeremy reached out to Act of Love Adoption Agency. This was a very difficult call to make, but they knew that these babies needed to go to a stable home. Rachel and Jeremy began meeting with their adoption counselor, who would make the drive to meet at their house because Rachel was put on bed rest.
Rachel and Jeremy found an adoptive family that they loved! This was the most difficult decision that Rachel and Jeremy would ever have to make, yet the adoptive family made it seems so much easier! The adoptive family started going to doctor appointments with Rachel and Jeremy and even met their children.
At 34 weeks Rachel went into labor. She delivered a beautiful baby boy and baby girl. There were no complications with the delivery, and the adoptive family was able to be in the delivery room. The babies were in very good health, and were soon able to leave the hospital.
Rachel and Jeremy signed their relinquishment paperwork and knew the babies would be in the wonderful care of the adoptive family. They continue to exchange pictures and letters and have a wonderful relationship.
