Dear Birthparent,
Thank you for considering us as your adoptive family. We respect the process that led you to this moment and recognize that you are facing a life changing decision. We hope to build a relationship with you built on trust and respect. A pregnancy is all consuming and it takes conviction and resilience that we promise to honor throughout this journey.
We look forward to an open adoption where you are a known, important and critical person in this child’s life and story. We promise to be open and honest with you and your child and we will speak about adoption in positive and affirming ways from day one. Your child will know your name, where they were born and how much you love them.
How we Met:
We met in 2011 on a hiking trail at a nearby state park, by chance or fate. Each one of us came to hike that trail alone, but we met on the trail, became friends and started dating shortly thereafter. We got married in October 2015 and had a small wedding with our closest family and friends. This is how we live our life as well – we keep our friends and family close, we nurture these relationships and we are dependable, compassionate and loyal.
Family:
We both have tight knit families – siblings and parents – who will all welcome another grandchild/nephew or niece with open arms and open hearts. We have a family of different backgrounds – Jewish, Catholic, Israeli-American, Filipino, Cameroonian.
Interests:
In our free time we like to read, hike, camp, cook, bake and play board games together. Michelle enjoys attending sporting events, DIY and crafting and Jessica loves to write and read her poetry at local coffee shops and play guitar. We love the outdoors and history.
