Dear Birth Mother,
Hugging you. We are Gared and Julia and while our paths are different, we are thankful that ours have crossed, even if just for a moment. We admire your bravery and your strength. We have no way of knowing what you’re going through, but we hope that what you read today touches your heart.
Our faith and love of the Lord is a huge part of our family culture and values. It is what leads us to love with intention, to faithfully serve our community, and it’s what led us to embark on this adoption journey.
We are best friends and are so grateful to have been able to do life together for over 10 years. We met in college and say, “sometimes you just know!” While these past few years have brought about many challenges due to infertility, we have grown closer and will continue to travel through life’s highs and lows together, cheering each other on. We work to encourage one another to work harder, love deeper, and to never stop growing and exploring. Due to Gared’s military career, we have friends all over the world. What a gift it has been to be able to experience different cultures and traditions, while traveling.
Gared describes Julia as a loving and caring woman that puts others first. She is always seeking to bring joy to those around her. Julia is busy in the community where she volunteers and attends Bible study. She stays active and enjoys hiking, walking our dog named Moose, and riding her spin bike. She loves to cook and try new recipes. With a background in event planning, hosting and celebrating people bring her joy. Due to her upbringing, Julia is always looking for ways to serve those around her. She brings light and life to her community.
Julia describes Gared as kind. He is so funny and makes everyone laugh. Gared has given so much of his life to serve our country and he is strong in his faith and convictions. Gared is active and enjoys running, biking, reading, drinking coffee, and spending time with Moose. Gared has friends all over the world and maintains those friendships. It is admirable how committed Gared is to people. He loves deeply and leads with intentionality. He is thoughtful and compassionate.
We have been trying to grow our family for five years. Our desire to have a family is very strong and we both feel a strong desire to adopt. We are committed to surrounding your child with love, happiness, laughter, understanding, knowledge, honesty, and adventure. We want him/her to know who they are and where they came from. A loving and supportive family will forever surround them. They will be guided to become the person they are meant to be through love, support, education, and encouragement.
Being filled with hope is what has gotten us through some of the toughest times. We have great hope that we will be given the opportunity to parent and pour our love over a child someday. Please know that you are loved, you are prayed for, and you are appreciated. We hope to learn more about you and we appreciate the love and dedication you show in your sacrifice. The gift of adoption would be the greatest blessing we could ever receive.
