We are eager to grow our family through adoption and share our love, family, friends, adventures, travel, and other experiences with your child. We hope that our story gives you a glimpse into our family, our friends, and the beautiful community we share our lives with.

Our Story
We first met in Singapore in 2008, when we had both independently decided to move from India and start our university journey abroad. What began as a close friendship with lots of fun and meaningful conversations, slowly began developing into a deeper and closer relationship.
After 7 years of dating, which included us graduating from university, starting our careers, and numerous fun travels across Asia, we got married in 2016 amidst family, friends, and lots of festivities.
Our family also includes our two rescue dogs, Kaya (2.5y Lab mix) and Chai (1.5y Lab mix), who we adopted in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
About Chandni
Chandni is one of the most driven, caring, and reliable people I have known. She is very passionate about making a difference in the world, and has worked on issues such as empowering financial independence among less-privileged women in Southeast Asia, and currently working on climate change research.
Chandni is a very social person and easily makes connections and builds lasting friendships everywhere she goes. She takes a lot of effort to keep close contact with family and friends and makes sure to go out of her way to help when they are in need.
She is an extremely reliable person, and actively plans for our family’s future, ensuring we’re emotionally and financially prepared.
About Roshan
Roshan played cricket throughout school and university and to this day spends his weekends playing cricket for local clubs.
He loves spending time outdoors be it on walks with the puppers or on hikes locally or when traveling.
Roshan loves reading and listening to books, and you’ll find him gardening or completing other chores around the house while listening intently to his audiobooks. Together with our friends (who are now extended family), Roshan organizes monthly book clubs to discuss perspectives on the books we’ve read.
Our home and neighborhood
We live in a small, diverse suburb in New Jersey, 30 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of New York City, where we work.
Our home is a single-family home with four bedrooms, including a baby room, with a large front yard and backyard that is thoroughly used by our little puppers. We have just planted apple trees and have added squirrel & bird feeders to our yard. We also love hosting our friends for weekend barbecues.
We live a stone’s throw away from a dog park and a children’s park and a 5-minute drive from a large lakefront, clifftop park.
We are surrounded by nature at its best. Be it going on picnics or just getting our morning coffee by the lakefront, or hiking up the trail, we love spending time in our beautiful neighborhood.
Our Puppers
Kaya is a sweet, and loveable pup, who loves to be the center of attention. Her favorite activity during the day is playing “neighborhood watch” by standing at our window and observing every person and dog walking by our house. She loves visiting our neighborhood parks and sniffing all the smells around her. She enjoys her stuffed toys – her favorite still being a stuffed hedgehog that she brought along with her from her rescue.
Chai is a very curious, energetic, and playful pup, who is always ready to brighten whoever’s day he comes into contact with. When he doesn’t get what he wants (like treats), he does get a little sassy 😉 When he’s not taking an acrobatic snooze, he loves to explore every part of our house. When in parks, he loves playing with other dogs, playfully chasing birds and squirrels, and tiring himself out with his “zoomie” runs.
The two pups love hanging out with each other and fooling around in the yards!
Our Families
Chandni is the only child of her parents. Roshan has one elder brother who lives with his wife and daughter in Chandigarh, India. Both our parents live in Chennai, a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Our families, especially parents, are excited to welcome a new baby in their lives. They are very excited about being grandparents and are looking forward to staying with us for longer periods of time.
Our extended family is spread across the country, from California to Washington DC, Michigan, Texas, and Louisiana.
We love being around our cousins and spending time with our nephews and nieces. We regularly meet our extended families or plan trips together. This helps us bond with their children as well as help our next generation grow and bond with each other. Your child will be surrounded by grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins who are eagerly waiting to welcome our child into their lives.
Diverse Community and Friends
In addition, we have a huge circle of friends, most of whom have seamlessly become a part of our extended family.
Be it in the US, Singapore, or India, we love catching-up with them on a regular basis. We also regularly catch-up with our overseas friends online or over a call and love going on hikes, exploring new restaurants, having cookouts or movie nights with our friends. And one of the best highlights of our gatherings would definitely be trying to beat each other at a game of Codenames!
Our friends, like us, come from different countries, speak different languages but share mutual respect and love for each other.
