INTRODUCTION:
Hi! We're Scott and Ryan.
Since the very first night we met we’ve been talking about becoming dads someday. Nothing would make us happier than to provide a loving, accepting home for a child and we’re certain adoption is the best way to make that happen.
ABOUT US:
We met in 2014 while both living in California. Scott was still a working actor then and Ryan had just started his current job in digital media. Fast-forward two years, and we decided to move to New York City where Scott landed a perfect teaching job. Luckily, Ryan’s company was thrilled to have him on the east coast in their Manhattan office.
We got married in 2019 over a three-day weekend at a summer camp. About 200 friends and family members all gathered to play kickball, swim in the lake, eat some incredible food, and help us celebrate our new chapter together. It was the best weekend of our lives.
In early 2020, we moved to Northern New Jersey after saving enough money to buy our first home. We love our quaint, diverse community, and we’re surrounded by families on our block with kids of all ages outside playing, or walking to school, or selling lemonade.
MORE ABOUT SCOTT:
Scott now works at a nearby high school where he teaches theater and directs the productions. He's a huge college football fan and could talk about his favorite team to anyone. He tries to meditate daily and works out at the local CrossFit studio. He also enjoys home improvement and has built several pieces of furniture at our home. As an Eagle Scout, he loves spending time outdoors, and he is excited to pass on this passion to our future kids. He also just competed in his first sprint triathlon!
MORE ABOUT RYAN:
Ryan is a digital media professional by day and a force to be reckoned with at trivia by night. You might also find him on the ski slopes in the winter, the tennis courts in the summer, or a roller coaster absolutely whenever! But most of all he'll be trying to convince you to watch one of his favorite films, like "Almost Famous" or "Home Alone."
OUR DOGS, FLASH & DAISY:
We have two lovable, well-behaved dogs. Flash is our gentle-as-can-be basset hound mix that seems to be adored by all children who meet him. Daisy is our energetic but affectionate mini-hound whose favorite spot is resting on our shoulders (when she's not guarding the entire neighborhood from our couch).
