Hi, I’m Jodi and this is my four-year-old son, Aidan.
Thanks for checking out our profile and the life and family we’d love to share with a child as a beloved daughter or son and brother or sister. I cannot imagine the strength and courage it has taken for you to get to this point in looking through profiles. No one can truly understand what you are going through, but as a family built through adoption we are so grateful for that strength, courage, and love.
We are an energetic family who loves exploring the world around us with our extended family and friends. We have a lot of friends all over the world and a very close-knit family with my parents, and dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles. We love spending time with them whether we’re traveling, celebrating holidays and special occasions, or just hanging out.
Some of our favorite things to do together include:
● Laughing, dancing, and playing
● Going to community and cultural events
● Playing and watching sports
● Reading, seeing stories on stage, at the movies, and making up our own stories, too
● Going on adventures both near home and on vacation – especially at the sea, lake, and pool
Aidan especially enjoys music, balls, cars, impromptu dance parties, funny books, and playing with other kids. He is a very loving, fun, funny, and sweet little boy. He has an infectious belly laugh and a gentle, yet mischievous sense of humor. He is very affectionate and gives the best hugs in the world. He’s great with smaller children and babies, and really hopes to be a big brother.
Thanks to my job with the U.S. government, we have the opportunity to live internationally and in the United States. Working as an American diplomat provides our family with comfortable homes, access to good schools, and both international and American communities whether home or abroad. We get to meet amazing people, learn new languages, and have family and friends visit us. During his three years in Rome before coming back to the U.S., Aidan spoke Italian, traveled to six different countries, and started a lifelong love for pasta, pizza, and the beach!
That being said, I am a lifelong Minnesotan and a die-hard Prince, Minnesota Vikings, and Twins fan – and Aidan has become one, too. Our family has long roots in the community there, and it is a top priority for my children to have these strong roots and connections.
To a child, I promise to wholeheartedly provide love, warmth, opportunities, structure, and a supportive environment. Our family is very welcoming of, and experienced with, open adoption, including frequent photo updates and annual visits. We celebrate adoption in our family, and ensure it is a point of pride.
To you, I wish you warmth and all the best during this tough time and going forward. I hope you feel the love and appreciation you deserve.
Sincerely,
Jodi
