Amy and Dan lived in a big city in Michigan. However, it was still very difficult to find jobs. Amy was able to work part-time at a fast food restaurant and Dan was able to work small odd jobs here and there. They had a 2 1/2 year old son to support. They wanted to do everything possible to give him the best future possible.

Amy was 6 months pregnant and they fell very behind on their rent. They had borrowed money from every family member possible. Dan’s odd jobs were not consistent and Amy wasn’t getting many hours at work. Dan and Amy sat down to have a serious discussion about their future.

Amy and Dan decided that it would be best to start looking into adoption for their unborn baby girl. They contacted Act of Love Adoption Agency in Utah where they were greeted very kindly. Amy and Dan were able to quickly start talking to an adoption counselor, and start receiving the counseling they desperately needed.

Amy and Dan looked at adoptive family profiles and found a family that really felt right. This confirmed that adoption would be the best decision for their baby.

Amy and Dan decided to drive from Michigan to Utah so they could stay in the agency housing and were very excited about receiving counseling. They settled in and were able to meet several times with the adoptive family.

Amy went into labor and had the adoptive family waiting in the delivery room for the exciting news of their baby girl. Amy and Dan spent much of the hospital time with their baby girl and their son. They took pictures that they would cherish forever. They had the adoptive family come for visits so they could start bonding with their sweet baby.

Amy and Dan signed all the necessary legal documents. It wasn’t easy for them, but they still knew it was the right decision. Amy and Day were able to drive home and are continuing to work very hard to provide a wonderful life for their son. They are so grateful for an adoptive family that sends wonderful pictures and letters!
