Meet Brandon and Marli

Hello!

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. We are Brandon and Marli, and we have a 3 year old daughter, Sunny. She reminds us every day that the best moments in life are often the simplest: morning cuddles, dancing in the kitchen, butterfly kisses, and baking cookies together. Watching Sunny grow has been the greatest joy of our lives, and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption.

Childhood in our home is filled with adventure and imagination—catching frogs, riding bikes and quads around the farm, splashing in the river with cousins, and climbing on our rock walls. More than anything, we hope our home is a place where a child always feels safe, loved, and free to be themselves.

We hope for an open adoption built on love and respect. It is important to us that our child grows up knowing their story and understanding the sacrifice that brought them into our family. We want them to always know how much they are loved by you and by us, and we hope to build a relationship where you feel valued, respected, and welcomed into our family as a cherished part of their life.

About Marli 

One thing you should know about Marli is that she is organized. She will think through something from twelve different angles before making a decision, and then probably make a spreadsheet for it. In fact, she still gets teased by her parents for making PowerPoints when she was growing up to try to convince them she needed a guinea pig or cell phone. She also would plan her own birthday parties starting at age 9.

About Brandon 

One thing about Brandon is that he’s the kind of dad who wants to be involved in the little things. He’s intentional about making time for our family and loves being part of Sunny’s everyday moments. He comes to all of her doctor appointments and is the only dad who comes to watch her dance class. He wants his kids to know they’re important to him and that he’ll always make time for them. He also usually has at least one woodworking project; for Sunny’s 3rd birthday he built her a big girl bed and a swing set!

About Sunny 

Our ball of sunshine! She just turned 3. She is imaginative, adventurous, creative, thoughtful, and kind. She can spend hours playing in her own little world.

Our Home

We live in a tight-knit farming community in Arizona on a few acres, surrounded by hundreds of acres of family farmland. If you look out of any of our windows, you will see fields of cows, sheep, corn, or alfalfa. Marli’s sister and her family live right on our same road. We’re only a ten minute walk from a small river that we love to spend time at.

A day in the life 

Because Brandon works from home, we get to spend lots of time together as a family. Our days are filled with walks, library trips, baking, climbing on our rock wall, playing outside, exploring the farm, playing with cousins, and family meals. Evenings always end with books, prayers, songs, and bedtime cuddles.

Our families 

Family is one of the greatest blessings in our lives. We spend lots of time with grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, and close friends who love and support us. Our children will grow up surrounded by people who will celebrate them, encourage them, and love them every step of the way.

We understand you may be facing an unexpected and challenging decision, and we want you to know we are praying for you and your sweet baby every day; even Sunny includes you in her bedtime prayers. As you explore all of your options, please be assured that your child would be welcomed with so much love and joy, not only by us, but by a big sister who can’t wait to make them laugh, grandparents who will spoil them, cousins to make memories with, and a community of friends who will cheer them on.

If you choose to place your child with us, we look forward to continuing a relationship with you and making sure your child knows their story and their heritage. We would love to welcome you into our family as well.
