Dear Expectant Parent,
Thank you for taking the time to read about us, and for considering us to be part of your adoption journey. We can only imagine the strength, love, and courage it takes to face the decision before you. We want you to know that we see you, and we honor the care and devotion guiding you as you think about what is best for your child. Our hope is that, as you read more about us, you will come to know us more fully and get a sense of the life we hope to build as parents.
We have been together for ten years and married for six. Our first date took us cliff jumping over a waterfall, and we’ve been diving headfirst into life’s adventures from that moment on!
We have been preparing for this moment for a long time and have approached this process with care and intention. Through countless hours of reading, classes, and talking to adoptive families, we’ve done all we can to prepare for this next step in our lives.
Still, no amount of preparation will allow us to fully understand what you may be feeling as you read these words. We know this moment carries many emotions, and we deeply respect how challenging this process may be.
If we are chosen to be part of your child’s life, we promise to honor your story and theirs. We promise to raise your child surrounded by love and unwavering support. Our home is one built on compassion and joy, and we would be deeply grateful to share it with your child. Growing up, our parents worked tirelessly to give us the kind of life they never had, and that’s exactly what we are going to do for our future children.
We’re fortunate to have a life that takes us all over the globe. We have opportunities to travel, learn new languages, understand new cultures, and meet fascinating people. Should you choose us to be the parents to your child, we promise to continue building their world in a way where they will grow up with wonder, fascination, and the recognition that our love for them holds no limits.
While we are fortunate to work abroad, we are also lucky to have wonderful family on the east coast with whom we enjoy spending our time. Both of our parents can’t stop talking about how excited they are to be grandparents and to welcome a child into their lives! At the same time, our siblings are looking forward to being aunts and uncles.
We promise that your child will grow up in a home with laughter, love, and the knowledge that they are cherished and valued. Your incredible act of love will forever be a part of their story, and we promise you to honor it.
We know this is not an easy path, and we’re profoundly humbled by the strength it takes to walk it and the trust it takes to consider adoptive parents. Whatever you decide, we wish you peace, clarity, and support as you move forward.
