I am pro-life; however, I do believe that under certain circumstances the choice should be offered. Those circumstances being molestation or rape, or when the mom faces death in carrying and delivering. For me personally, abortion has never been or will ever be an option. I believe if a child would have been conceived from my rapes I would not have aborted, as I do not believe it would have been by any fault of the child they were conceived that way; however, I do not believe I could have parented in that case either. I also could not imagine choosing to terminate a pregnancy because of complications that could lead to death. I would put my life on the line for all my kids no matter their age or stage in their life, I have not been in that predicament but I do believe I would not even consider termination. My aunt gave her life to bring my cousin into this world over a decade ago so I have indirectly been touched by the choice to continue a high risk pregnancy. A friend that I have had for years is expecting and found out her daughter has turner syndrome and although some were very forceful in their opinions to terminate she refuses to consider a termination as well. To be honest with you, if I found myself pregnant again (although I am fixed now there is still a slim chance) and unable to parent I would turn to Easton’s parents in hopes to place with the baby for adoption again.
