Brandy lived in California with her 2 children. She found herself pregnant and wondering what she should do. She had just recently started a job, and was finally getting her life together. She knew she was not prepared for another baby. She called several adoption agencies and no one answered her call. Then she tried calling Act of Love Adoption Agency in Utah. It was late at night when her kids were in bed. Brandy was so surprised that her call was answered right away. She started talking to the woman on the phone, and found herself spilling her difficult life story. Brandy immediately felt a connection to this adoption agency, and knew she needed to pursue this option.
A big part of Brandy’s adoption process was connecting with the adoption agency, her social worker and her caseworker. She felt so much kindness and support through the entire process. She knew that after she placed her baby for adoption, she could continue to call in and receive counseling to help her with her feelings related to the adoption.
Brandy went on to choose a wonderful adoptive family and even asked them to be in the delivery room. Everything worked out perfectly, and Brandy was so happy with her adoption plan. She took a short amount of time off of work and was able to go back to her job and continue to provide for her children. Brandy felt that placing her baby for adoption gave her a second chance to give her children a positive life, as well as giving the baby a wonderful family to raise him.
