Since 1999, the Angels in Adoption award presented by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) has been honoring and recognizing individuals that are making a difference in finding families for children through adoption and foster care.
The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) is an American non-partisan, non-profit organization “dedicated to raising awareness about the tens of thousands of orphans and foster children in the United States and the millions of orphans around the world in need of permanent, safe, and loving homes through adoption; and to eliminating the barriers that hinder these children from realizing their basic right of a family.”
On October 9, 2013, the Angels in Adoption Gala was held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. This prestigious award goes to individuals that dedicate themselves through their time and love ensuring that children have permanent, loving homes. These individuals put in countless hours of hard work to find homes that not only meet the needs of these children, but where these children will grow and thrive.
There are many “Angels”, almost 2000 individuals that have received this award due to their extraordinary work in the adoption field. These awards are given to many hard-working, passionate people that work each day in the adoption field using their talents and expertise in best practice services to bring families together.
