Christa had pretty much been disowned by her family because of the boyfriends she chose to be with. Christa moved all around the country with these men. Finally, she met Brad, and he was different. He held a job and was able to help support her. They found a place in Wyoming that they could rent and have Christa’s two dogs with them. Things were going very well, or so Christa thought.
Several months after Christa and Brad moved, Brad starting getting into drugs. He lost his job, and they were going to be evicted. One night, he didn’t even come home. Christa never saw Brad after that.
Christa had a small amount of money put away and she used that to pay rent. It was at this time that she felt that something was not right with her body. She happened to take a home pregnancy test, and it came back positive. Christa was in absolute shock. She went to the doctor and found out that she was almost 5 months pregnant! She was more than halfway through her pregnancy!
Christa had not been able to find a job in the small town she was in, and she knew that she could not take care of her baby. She was able to quickly get her paperwork done, and start looking at adoptive families. She immediately found one that she loved.
Christa was running into the problem of housing. Her rent was due and she couldn’t afford to pay it. After talking with her caseworker at the agency, she decided to move her belongings and her dogs to Utah and stay in the agency housing until she had her baby.
Christa had a kind agency staff member drive to Wyoming and help her get moved to Utah. All of her personal possessions and dogs fit in one large car.
Christa was ready to move on and have a fresh start. She loved her time in Utah. She had her baby and placed with the wonderful adoptive family. Christa was able to find a job in a veterinary clinic and get back into school. Adoption helped her get her life on a path that she was pleased with. She was able to mend the relationships with her family members as well.
