Trudy and Mark had some really difficult decisions to make. They had a 2 year old little boy, and had just been caught with drugs. They had a sentencing coming up, and the Division of Child and Family Services in California was ready to take their son into state custody. Trudy and Mark wanted so much more than foster care for their son.
Trudy and Mark were able to call Act of Love Adoption Agency in Utah. As long as Trudy and Mark followed through with an adoption plan, their case in California would be dropped. Trudy and Mark talked with a wonderful adoption counselor, and after looking at profiles, and talking to a couple of families, chose a wonderful adoptive family for their son. They were able to have a period of time to help their son transition to his new family.
Trudy and Mark served their time for the drugs, and both went into rehab. They stayed in contact with the adoptive family and wrote letters for their son to have later in life. They had gotten mixed up with some friends that got them into the drugs, and things got out of control. The counseling they received in rehab and for the adoption helped them set some goals that they were able to stick with.
Adoption gave Mark and Trudy the opportunity to place their son in a loving home of their choice. It also helped them get their lives back in order. They are thankful each day for the wonderful adoptive family they chose to raise their son.
