Acknowledgement of Prohibition Against Baby Selling and Fraudulent Conduct

At Act of Love Adoptions, we are deeply committed to ethical adoption practices that protect both birth parents and adoptive families.

Please be aware:

The birth parent acknowledges that it is illegal in Utah and many other states to sell a child. Specifically, Utah law prohibits any person who has custody, care, or control of a child from selling, attempting to sell, or otherwise disposing of that child in exchange for money or anything of value, as stated in Utah Code Ann. 76-7-203. Because of this, A Act of Love Adoptions must carefully review any request for financial or other forms of assistance to ensure it does not violate this law. The birth parent also understands that if they receive living or other assistance from Act of Love after stating an intention to place their child for adoption—when in fact they had no such intention—this could be considered fraudulent behavior. Fraud of this nature may be punishable as a crime. Additionally, receiving financial or other support from multiple adoption agencies, adoption professionals, or adoptive families may also be considered evidence of fraud.

Our goal is to provide support only for pregnancy-related needs and only within the boundaries of state law. To understand what support you may qualify for, we offer a free, no-obligation consultation.
