Dear Expectant Family,
First, we just wanted to wish you the very best as you make this very important decision in your life, with whatever you chose. It will be what it right for you and your child. We hope you will find the peace and assurance you need as you make these difficult choices for you and your baby. We also want to thank you for taking the time to get to know our little family.
Adoption has changed our lives so much and we are so happy that there are wonderful people out there who are willing to explore adoption. We have so much love and respect for those expectant mothers and their birth families. Here’s just a little fun fact about both our families, they have both been touched tremendously through the power of adoption. Tyler and his two siblings are adopted from different families. Heather’s sister is also adopted. We feel we will be able to help this child understand and know the love you had for them and why you made this hard decision.
You are probably thinking to yourself, they already have two kids, why would they do adoption now? Well, even before we were married, we knew that adoption would someday come into play and was something we knew we both wanted to do. When we talked about having kids, we knew in our hearts that we were to have 3 or 4 kids, and at least one was going to be adopted.
About Tyler-
I am a very family-oriented individual, Family is the single most important thing in my life. I believe that true happiness can only come from and through the family. I love being a dad and to take my family camping hiking and just being with my family and continue family traditions and start some new ones. I love to play video games and learn about military history.
About Heather-
I love being a mom, and having a house full of kids. I love to laugh and be silly and make others happy. I want my life to be one that I enjoy and do the things I love and have a life that my kids can look up to and be proud of their mom for what she did. I love sports especially soccer and volleyball. I love to make things and be creative. My mind loves to come up with new things to try and I love to see how they turn out.
About Kyle-
Kyle is our little sweetheart. He is so caring and wants everyone to be happy. We joke that he will be the class clown. He loves to explore and figure out how things work. He is full of energy and always has to be doing something. He is such a great big brother and is very protective of his sister and looks forward to showing the baby how to make things work.
About Sami-
Sami is our diva, and we love it! She is her own person. She loves to dance, and she shines on the stage. She is Heather’s mini me, she loves to be Heather’s helper. She also has a ton of energy and can be found singing and dancing around the house. She is so excited to be a big sister and show the baby how to “be a big kid”.
Quick Facts:
1) We love to travel, Oregon is our go- to destination.
2) We love the outdoors, especially camping
3) We have 4 pets: 2 dogs and 2 cats
4)We love movie nights downstairs where we cuddle on our big couch.
5) We love to make homemade pizza, Sausage is our favorite.
6) We live right next to a park and spend a lot of time there.
7) Heather is currently getting her master’s degree for school counseling.
8) We have been married for almost 8 years.
9) Kyle and Sami are what they call Irish twins, they are 11 months apart.
10) Family is everything to us!
11) We love family traditions and we are always adding new ones.
Lastly, we want you to know that we cannot even comprehend the emotions and challenges that you are facing, but we want you to know that we are there for you and we love you. We want you to know that although we have never met, we pray for you daily, and are here for you during this time. We have so much respect for all you are trying to do in your life and for considering adoption as a parenting choice for your baby.
