Well hello there!

We are so excited that you stopped by to get to know our family. We hope you can learn a little about us and have fun while you’re here.

We are Blane and Rachel. We have been married for 19 years now and we live in the same small town that Blane grew up in. It was our dream to raise our children in his home town. We have always wanted to become parents. Sometimes it doesn’t always happen the way you think it will. We are so grateful that our journey to parenthood took us to adoption. Because of adoption we have our sweet children Brian and Emma.

We love living in the country and we love living where we can go camping, hunting, and we especially love our long buggy rides. We are lucky to live in an area with some of the most beautiful surroundings. We are within a short buggy ride from mountains, dinosaur tracks, Indian ruins, and sand dunes. Our kids don’t know just how lucky they are to be able to see such unique landscapes every day. We aren’t people who travel much so it’s a good thing we live in Utah where the most fun adventures can happen.

Rachel’s thoughts about Blane

What can I say about Blane other than he is such a goofball. He is constantly making us laugh and has such a great sense of humor. He honestly walks into the room and instantly puts a smile on your face. I have always loved that about him. Blane is an amazing father and will do anything for his kids. He always tries to take the time to teach them new things. It’s important to him that they know how to do things for themselves. Brian is turning into quite the little bulldozer operator because of his dad.

As a child Blane’s parents taught their children the importance of service. That is something we both are doing with our kids now. They might complain but they are learning that taking the neighbors trash can in is a great service to them. It amazes me how willing Blane is to help whenever it’s needed. Everyone in town knows they can call on him when they need help. I’m sure grateful his parents taught him such a great work ethic.

Blanes thoughts on Rachel

One of my favorite things about Rachel is her laugh. I can be in the other room and just hearing her laugh makes me happy. Rachel is a very loving person and is always willing to help out. It doesn’t matter if it is for the family or the community she is there. She is a dedicated mother and loves that she is able to be home with kids every day. I don’t know how she does all she does and is able to keep the house running so smooth.

Meet Brian

Brian, the boy who made us parents. This kid is a ball of talkative energy. He is very Passionate about the things he loves. He is a true friend and will do anything for them. His favorite things are Minecraft, heavy equipment, riding his four-wheeler and playing with friends. He can talk your ear off about Minecraft which drives his mom crazy but she listens. He is such a good big brother and is very protective over his sister. He doesn’t like to admit he likes her but they are the best of friends. He loves to help in any way he can. If he can learn something new, he is all for it. We love this boy with all our might.

Meet Emma

Our sweet little Emmy Lou is a momma’s girl through and through. She is a girly girl that can hold her own when the boys are around. Her brother has taught her well how to kick butt and take names. Her favorite things are her zebra, toys, friends, and our puppy Lucy. She loves playing with her barbies and playing dress up. That girl can go through more clothes than anyone I know. Another thing she is good at is mothering the dog. She is very protective over her. Sometimes a little too much and Lucy gets frustrated with her. We usually have to save her and give her a break from Emma. I kinda think we got our puppy at the right time to help prepare her to be a big sister. I know she’s going to rock it!

We hope you have enjoyed getting a Little glimpse into our family. We know that by now you have searched stacks of profiles and probably feel very overwhelmed. If there is one thing we have learned throughout the past several years is that nothing can truly prepare you for the process of adoption. It is extremely emotional for you and for us. Just know that we love you and we are praying for you as you make this courageous decision.

With lots of love,
Blane and Rachel
