Brian & Mandy

Dear Birth Parents,

As we sit to write this letter our hearts are pounding with excitement and emotion, mostly because we know exactly how much lives can change because of adoption. Brian was adopted as an infant, and his life was changed in incredible ways because of that. We are so excited to complete our family through adoption. After our third daughter was born, we knew we wanted one more child. Through many discussions, we felt strongly that adoption was the right way for us to finish our family. It has always been something we have considered and this feels like the most natural way for us to complete our family.

A little bit about our family:
We met the summer before our senior year in college. Our roommates introduced us one evening, and we both knew right away that this was “it”. We saw each other every day and quickly knew it was love. Mandy began teaching elementary school and Brian worked in banking, and after four years of dating, we were married at a winery on a hot summer night. Several years later, our first daughter Abby was born. When our second daughter, Cailin, was born Mandy stopped teaching to stay home full time with our children. Knowing we wanted more children, Lauren was born a few years later. Brian now works full time from home and Mandy is a full time stay at home mom. In our free time, we love to travel to the beach, visit family, go camping, skiing, and hiking. We have two Labradors which are loved and come everywhere with us.

Our children:
Abby is our first born. She loves gymnastics, skiing, playing piano, and jumping rope. Cailin is two years younger than Abby, a dancer in the dance academy, loves art, skiing, and soccer. Lauren is the youngest. Following in her sister’s footsteps, she loves swimming, gymnastics, music class, and coloring.

A little bit more about us:
Brian is 37 years old and 5’11” tall, has brown hair and green eyes. He was adopted as an infant and doesn’t have any details on his heritage. His sister (also adopted) is married and has two daughters. We see his family several times a year when we fly to them, or they visit us. His family is an active part of our lives and we see them several times a year. Last summer, we had a family campout in his sister Emily’s backyard for a week. It was great family time, but most importantly our girls got to spend quality time with their cousins.

Mandy is 37 years old and 5’6” tall, has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is a mixture of English, German, and Irish. She has one brother who is married. Her parents are an active part of the children’s lives. They see each other several times a week and are very close. Mandy’s brother, Will, and his wife live about 6 hours away and we see them several times a year.

Our home:
We designed and built our home, and moved into it in 2015. It is a modern home with a very open floorplan. There are 5 bedrooms in just about 6000 square feet. The home sits on just over an acre of land. We built it with our children in mind, so there is a large backyard with a trampoline and climbing structure as well as a wide driveway for riding bikes and scooters. There is a large playroom that is the hub of activity in our home.

We live in a quiet neighborhood where we can ride bikes to the park or nearby hiking trails. We are a 5 minute drive to nearby shops and the grocery store. The elementary school the children attend is a 7 minute drive away. We live in a very family friendly community. We built this home as our forever home to raise our children.

Thank you for looking at our profile. We know this is a difficult decision and we are honored to be considered.

Sincerely,
Brian, Mandy, Abby, Cailin, and Lauren
