Dear Birth Parent,
We know you have many options as you think about your life and the life of your unborn child and we want to thank you for considering adoption. We know this is a very difficult time for you – one full of uncertainty. We sincerely wish you the best with your decision and feel confident you have a bright future ahead of you.
We want to tell you that we know from first-hand experience how incredible adoption can be. After being unable to conceive a child and struggling through unsuccessful fertility treatments, adoption was the miraculous way that our two children, Jack and Easton, joined our family. Their adoptions were such amazing experiences full of love and we feel so lucky to be their parents. Our two boys have brought tremendous joy into our lives! We are excited to adopt again and look forward to welcoming another child into our family!
As you get to know us better, we look forward to talking with you about the level of openness that would be most appropriate. We are willing to have a more open adoption arrangement and feel that it can be healthy for a child to respect and appreciate everyone who is part of his or her story and to more fully feel the love involved in adoption. We currently have an open relationship with Jack’s birth parents and birth grandparents and Easton’s birth mother. Jack and Easton will always know where they came from and can love and be loved by their birth families, and we feel it would be ideal if our next child has the same benefit.
We pray for you as you navigate this journey and hope this letter, our pictures, and the information in our profile will help you get a better idea of who we are and what our family is like. Because of you, we get to have the family we have dreamed about. Through our experience with adoption and as we progress in our journey of parenthood, we have come to understand both the sacrifice that is required to care for a child, and the incredible sacrifice of the birth mother and family, who loved the child first. This gives us extra motivation to do all we can to be excellent parents and provide a secure and loving environment to our children. We will forever be grateful for your selfless love in bringing indescribable blessings to our family, and we hope to be a blessing in your life as we gain each other’s trust and love.
