Kelly & Mollie

Kelly & Mollie

Hello there!

This is us...Kelly, Mollie, Cooper and Grace and we can barely contain our excitement for the possibility of adoption. This is not our first time through the adoption process… we were blessed to experience the adoption journey once before. Our daughter Grace joined our family through adoption and the experience filled our hearts in ways that we cannot describe. We truly believe adoption is a gift and hope that we are able to add to our family once again. We want you know that we admire you, respect your decision to consider adoption and pray you have support during this time.

Getting to know us…
Kelly is our adventure having, always smiling, tractor riding, animal wrangling, boat driving, kid hugging, fort building, water loving, faithful and kind doing, loving spouse and fantastic dad! When Kelly is around, you know you will feel loved, feel safe and ALWAYS be having fun! We're so proud of his military service and his willingness to serve for our local fire department. The kids love to brag about their dad!

Mollie is our kid snuggling, gentle and nurturing, animal whispering, imagination playing, barn living, garden keeping, antique searching, college educating, mental health counselor-ing, art creating, holiday having, family LOVING wife and mother. She is filled with faith and knows that her Heavenly Father has a plan for her family... She loves serving as a mental health counselor and teaching. Above all, she loves her family and loves being a wife and mother.

Cooper is kind, smart, honest, tender and the greatest big brother. He loves to read, play the guitar and piano, build things, ride his four-wheeler, camp and be with his dad. He and Grace play all the time together. They build forts, make mud trails (digging in the dirt with the hose), play on our playground, build Legos and help take care of their animals. He really is the sweetest kid. He prays each night for a new baby brother or sister.

Grace is the life of the party... People have described her as "sunshine". She is sweet but can be spicy. She loves to play make believe (acts like some kind of animal or princess 90% of the day), living on the farm, doing art, playing with dolls, ballet and being with her brother. She too is excited about adopting and prays every night for a baby to come to us. She is such a tender little thing and loves to be a helper.

Our extended crew...
Family!!! We have lots of it. Between Kelly and Mollie there LOTS of cousins, uncles and aunts and 2 sets of wonderful grandparents (Grandma and Grandpa and NiNi and Pop Pop). Each grandparent is actively involved in their grandchildren's lives. We make it a priority to have 2 family reunions a year. These get togethers are always magical and we are spoiled with fun, love and amazing memories.

Adventure is out there...
Our home has been the gathering place for summer vacations. If we are not at home, we are usually exploring new places or traveling to our favorite spots with extended family. We love southern Utah, The Oregon coast, playing at the river and of course DISNEY! We have a huge camp trailer that we take with us... we call it our hotel on wheels.

Our home is our happy place...
We feel so blessed to be in a safe area surrounded by friends and family. We have LOTS of animals; cats, dogs, pigs, rabbits, chickens and one lizard. Our little farm sits on 5 acres where we all work and play together... feeding the critters, gardening, popping popcorn and watching movies, racing 4 wheelers, roasting marshmallows, hot tubbing, jumping on the trampoline, playing board games, reading (Harry Potter is the new fav) and we love eating dinner as a family.
In our home, love is expressed through daily words and actions. We provide structure to our home by modeling healthy behavior, having consistent consequences and using time-outs when needed. Our home is a place where our kids feel safe and where it is okay to make mistakes. We also believe it is important to talk to our children, hold them, love them and to teach them how to be Christlike.

Our hearts and adoption…
We are eternally grateful that we were able to adopt Grace…The adoption process is never easy but through that journey, we learned what true sacrifice looks like. The love and respect we have for Grace's birth mom is one that cannot be measured. We talk about her frequently in our home with love and admiration.
We created a book for Grace about her birth mom with stories and pictures. She cherishes this book and asks to hear about her birth story often. Each time it's read, it is shared with love and tenderness. Just like Grace, our next child will know who they are, where they came from and how they too are loved and cherished by all. If we are lucky enough to adopt again, we would love an open adoption... one where we could share updates, photos and have continued communication.

Our hope…
We are so excited with the possibility of adding to our family. We hope this gives you a little peek into our lives and who we are. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. Again, we admire your strength and respect you for considering adoption. We wish you the best and pray that you will feel peace during this time.

Best wishes,
Kelly, Mollie, Cooper and Grace
