John & Morgan

Dear Friend(s),
We’d like to thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about who we are. Even though we cannot imagine what you are going through, we know this must be very difficult for you. We want you to know that we think about you even though we don’t know you yet, and we pray for you every day. We hope that you feel peace when considering adoption for your child, and we would be grateful to get to know you. It takes a very strong and brave person to consider adoption for their child. Whether you choose us or not, we appreciate your interest in us. We feel honored to share more about our lives with you.

Who We Are
Morgan- I am Hispanic and I have brown hair, brown eyes, and I am 5’1″. I am the middle of three girls, and I am very close to my sisters. My parents taught me to have deep faith in God and raised me Christian. I grew up on a ranch in a small town, where I spent my time helping out with hay bales and picking apples with my sisters in our parent’s orchard. We are a very close-knit family and get together as often as we can. Since I was a young girl, I knew that adoption was something I wanted to pursue when starting a family. I felt God called me to adopt, and when I met John and found out that he felt the same, it was clear to me that it was something we were meant for. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. My program is online, so I will be able to stay at home with a baby. I am presently volunteering at a children’s grief center where I co-facilitate a group of grieving children. In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking, hiking, running, riding horses, going to church, and spending time with John.

John- I am 5’9 and I have black hair, brown eyes, and I am of Polish descent. My parents always encouraged my Christian faith when growing up. I have an older sister, Carolyn, and an older brother, Jim. I have four nephews and two nieces. My siblings live out East but we get to see each other at family reunions and visits. I grew up in both the country and city, but developed a big love for the outdoors. I started running in middle school and so far have run 14 marathons, taught myself to ski in college, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, and served proudly in the Marine Corps for 8 years as a tank officer. I have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in electrical engineering, and I love learning about science. My calling to be an adoptive father goes back many years, and is rooted in my belief that children deserve a loving home with the same opportunities I had growing up. I have had a few adventures in my life so far, but the best among them is as Morgan’s husband and the best to come as a future father.

What I Love About Morgan in John’s Words- My wife, Morgan, is the best person I know. She captured my heart when we first dated because of her joyful spirit and honesty in opening up to me with complete trust. She was already my best friend before we fell in love. Over the years, I have been so blessed to have her as the purpose of my life. Morgan is guided by her strong faith in God. She has always been wise beyond her age, and I believe it comes from her prayer life. Morgan is devoted to family: she makes both of our families a priority in her life. Since I have known her, Morgan has always given to others with amazing generosity. This spirit of selflessness is the reason for her desire to adopt, calls her to a career in counseling, and motivates her to do volunteer work. Her ability to love completely, know when someone is hurting, and to comfort distress have made her the perfect wife, and will undoubtedly make her a perfect mother as well.

What I Love About John in Morgan’s Words- I’d like to tell you a bit about my wonderful husband, John. John’s sense of humor and kindness initially attracted me to him. He is always saying the silliest things, and constantly has us laughing to the point of tears. John has a goofy laugh that emits through his whole body and is very contagious. I quickly fell in love with his gentle soul and generous heart. He is constantly going out of his way to help others, even strangers. I have always admired that he sees the good in everyone and takes the time to really listen to what others have to say. John is also very athletic and enjoys to run, ski, and climb mountains. When he sets his mind on doing something, he always follows through. He even takes the time to try and teach me how to do things that I normally would not do. He is such an encouraging man and is extremely supportive. John is truly one of the most patient people I have ever met, and I know that he will be a loving and patient father. His everlasting faith in God is inspiring, and I look forward to the day that he gets to teach your child about God’s love.

In Closing
We are extremely excited to get to know you and start our family through adoption. We feel that adoption is a gift from God and we feel joy and peace in following God’s plan for our life. We hope that you feel at peace in your decision for your child, and we admire you greatly for your love and sacrifice. We want you to know that we are willing, if you are, to share letters, photos, and emails throughout the coming years. We hope that this answers any questions or concerns you may have and has allowed you to learn more about us. We are praying that God will comfort and guide you in your decision. You are in our thoughts and our hearts.

All Our Love,
John and Morgan
