Dear Expectant Parents,
We are Jared and Brooke and we have three children through the miracle of adoption. Our children know how special and how loved they are by our entire family. We love and admire their amazing birth families.
We believe that “Adoption is not a second choice, a fallback option, or because you can’t have ‘your own,’ but wholly believing you are seeking to bring home the very child God created with you and your home in mind, fully equipping you to be the very parent He created you to be.”- unknown.
This is the plan He had for our family all along. We have learned that our trials can become our greatest blessings. God loves YOU, and He will lead and guide you during this challenging time. We know you have an incredible amount of love for your baby and want the best possible life for him/her.
About Us:
We were both raised in rural communities in Montana. We started dating in college and realized we wanted to start a life together. We were married in 2007 and we dealt with infertility for several years due to endometriosis. It was during a break from treatments that we came to the conclusion that it didn’t matter how children came to us, we just wanted a family. We immediately started the adoption process. It was the best decision of our lives and we wouldn’t change a thing.
During our 14 years together, we have lived all over the country. We finally settled down in Jared’s small hometown where we have lots of family close by. Jared has a great career in the medical field that allows him to spend lots of quality time with our family. Brooke chooses to be a stay-at-home mom because she doesn’t want to miss out on any part of our kids growing up. She also enjoys teaching fitness classes, remodeling our house, and running a hobby business. As a family we do a lot of outdoor activities together. We like camping, 4-wheeling, golfing and playing at the family lake house.
Brooke’s comments about Jared:
The first time I saw Jared playing with his nieces and nephews I knew I wanted to marry him. They were all laughing within seconds of playing, and I knew he would be an excellent husband and father. His easy-going attitude and caring nature helps him make friends with everyone he meets, especially children. Jared is our kids’ hero. Jared looks forward to coming home from work to play with them and tell them stories before bedtime. His faith is strong and he always reassures me that things will work out. He loves me no matter what- even if I have terrible morning breath! He is constantly making me laugh with his dry sense of humor.
Jared’s comments about Brooke:
Brooke is the love of my life. Brooke is adventurous, compassionate, and loves children and helping people. Brooke enjoys being a full-time mom, and always puts our family’s needs first. Brooke can often be found singing songs, reading, playing games, and gardening with our kids. Brooke is my best friend and most trusted counselor. We are a team, and do everything together. I like to spend time with her going on walks, 4-wheeling, boating, skiing, traveling, visiting family, eating good food, and countless other things. I am blessed to have Brooke by my side.
About Brigham:
Brigham (Brig) is our energetic 9-year-old. He is the spark that makes our family light up! Brig is a natural leader and makes friends easily. He excels at school and his favorite subjects are reading and math. He loves riding his bike, basketball, Harry Potter, and Italian food. He is our little book worm and if he is not outside playing you will find him curled up with a book. He is hoping for a baby sister but would be thrilled with either a boy or a girl. He has promised to help change all of the poopy diapers.
About Benson:
Benson is our creative 7-year-old. We never have enough paper and tape in our house because he is always making something! He loves drawing, animals and exploring the outdoors. Benson also loves school and learning. He is a sweetheart, and is always very aware of everyone’s feelings and needs. Benson is always by Brigham’s side, ready to join in on whatever adventure they conjure up together! Benson LOVES babies; He would like a baby brother AND sister. He has promised to be the baby’s protector.
About Brielle:
Brielle is two and constantly on the move! She has a happy, loving personality and is always smiling. She likes to be in on the action and do whatever her brothers are doing. Some of her favorite activities are swimming, dancing to music, and playing with her baby dolls. She would make an excellent big sister!
Closing Thoughts:
We enjoy open adoptions with our children’s birth families. We have found this to be the best for our children; they know they are loved, who they are, and where they came from. We would love this kind of relationship for all of our children, but we will respect any decisions made by birth parents.
