Dear Birth Parent,
We want to begin by expressing our immense gratitude for you. We know that you must be feeling and going through things that we cannot fully understand, but we want you to know that we truly admire you and your courage. We know that you are brave and strong. We also want you to know how much we have prayed for you and your child.
We are eager to discuss an adoption plan! We have read and researched a lot about open adoptions, and would like to do what you would be most happy and comfortable with. We know that this is an extremely personal decision, and we want to do what’s best for you and your baby. Your precious baby will always be aware of how much we care about you and how we will be forever grateful that you gave our family the biggest blessing. We hope to offer your little one a place to feel safe to have all feelings—positive and negative—and that our love will not change. We hope to offer a haven of acceptance and to be one’s self. We hope to nurture and raise your baby to be an empathetic person who knows the value of service and caring for others and our planet.
We would like to let you know that this love and acceptance is also extended to you. We would love for you to be able to have a chance to be part of your child’s life and to watch them grow and thrive through open adoption. And for your child to have the chance to know you! We don’t know you yet, but we feel so much admiration and love for you already. With whatever your decision will be, we will keep you in our hearts and prayers.
