Dear Birthparent,
We are thankful you are considering us as adoptive parents for your baby. We can’t comprehend the challenge of the decision you have to make, nor what circumstances led you here, but we hope to assure you we will be incredibly loving parents who are focused on putting your baby’s future above all else.
Greg has two adult sons from previous marriages, Thomas and Emilio, and we have dreamed of having more children to expand our family.
We have been married for over ten years and have devoted a tremendous amount of time thinking about our lives as parents. We will love our child unconditionally and create a nurturing environment so our child can thrive and develop into a compassionate, confident, and independent person.
Our Community
We live in a wonderful small town in central Germany. Restaurants, parks, a pool, trails, and just about anything else one would want is within walking distance of our house. We enjoy eating out and trying the many varied ethnic restaurants. Our favorite though, is ordering from the neighborhood pizzeria. We order pizza so often the delivery man knows us by name! Diane can’t wait to take our child to the nearby pool while Greg is excited to make s’mores on the patio.
We have two large dogs, Bruno and Baja, and they are a vital part of our family and home life. Their happiness is infectious. Baja and Bruno never tire of the walks we take them on, exploring fields outside our backdoor and playing stick. It can be debated who enjoys the walks more, the dogs or us.
Diane
I have a graduate degree in elementary and special education. Currently I am an instructional coach who mentors classroom teachers and provides math instruction to students. I love that teaching provides me with a schedule conducive to raising a family.
In my free time I like to bake. I have a serious sweet tooth and will make elaborate desserts to satisfy my cravings. I have a love/hate relationship with the gym. I devote time weekly to working out since staying fit and in shape is important to me. That doesn’t prevent me from whining about workouts though!
Greg
I was an Army helicopter and airplane pilot and assisted in peace-keeping missions all around the world. After completing over 20 years in the military, I left active duty service and now work for the Army as a civilian in Europe’s Army Headquarters.
I like to build, repair and tinker and can’t resist spending time in the garage working on one of my six motorcycles (did I mention I love motorcycles?) or one of our cars. I have fond memories of building forts and having water gun fights with my sons when they were young. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to parent another child and create new memories. I am genuinely excited to become a STAY AT HOME DAD while Diane continues her teaching career.

A little bit more about us
- We love to travel and are looking forward to exposing our child to many places and cultures around the world through travel.
- We love being outdoors. In the summer we like to go to the beach and in the winter we like to snowboard.
- We enjoy relaxing at home together on the weekends. Most Friday nights we can be found sitting on the couch with the dogs watching a movie.
- We celebrate holidays with friends and family--barbequing, carving pumpkins, visiting Christmas markets, and going on Easter egg hunts. We can’t wait to share these special times with our child.
- We are also looking forward to doing everyday things with our child like making pancakes, picking strawberries, playing in the yard, going for bike rides, and making snowmen.
- We hope to relocate to northern the Virginia area. We are thrilled at the possibility of exploring the east coast as well as Central and South America.
