David & Hope

Dear Birthparent,
Thanks for taking a closer look at us. We realize this process can be stressful and overwhelming, we hope learning about us will help to put you at ease. We want to thank you for being a wonderful person and not only choosing life for your child, but taking the time to choose the best life for him/her. We also want to tell you how we admire your courage and strength right now. We hope that through this journey you will find peace of mind knowing you did what was best for you and your child. We want to continue to give you that peace of mind by sharing information with you as your child grows into a happy, healthy, and wonderful person. We look forward to this journey with you. David and I are so looking forward to the day we will be chosen to raise a strong, independent, caring, hardworking, respectful, and loving child that will grow into a fine person that you can be proud of.

David and I have been married 14 years. We are both very active people and can’t sit still for long. We own our own business and work at it together. We have built and sold a few of our homes. We love being creative and putting our own personal touch on things. We have 2 dogs, Vader and Max and about a dozen chickens. Some of the more personable ones we named Missy and Sally. We have a great love for animals and enjoy being in nature and the outdoors. David is an avid fisherman and Hope loves photography. We both come from large mixed race families that are very supportive of our decision to adopt. They are very anxious as are we, for some news. We have many friends that have children that we are close to. We long for playdates, and joining in on the “children” conversations they often have with one another.

We enjoy travel, and meeting new people from different backgrounds, and cultures. We have been many places around the world, and are excited to share these experiences with our child.

The decision to raise a child did not come easy for us. We both needed to be at the right place and frame of mind to do it, which we feel is a good thing, as now we know for sure we are ready. Once the decision was made it became a difficult and painful journey, however, adoption seemed natural for us as we both have adopted family members. But we soon realized through a good amount of education that adoption is not an easy decision for the birthparent(s). That is why we know your decision is so very difficult but so very important. We want you to know all this because we want to assure you we take our parenting responsibilities very seriously and it is one of the most important decisions we have ever made, because it is one that effects more people, emotions, hearts, and minds than just ours!

Thanks for getting to know us better!

With deep appreciation and gratitude,
David & Hope
