Dear Birth Family,
We admire you for your strength in coming this far already. We can only imagine how we would feel if we were in your shoes and acknowledge how courageous you are.
We’ve been trying to grow our family for the past six years. During this time we have also had a long time to think and dream about what our life would be like with children and how we would parent and raise them. Both being teachers, we are equipped with many tools with which to understand children. While exploring this amazing world as a family, we hope to raise well rounded children who love themselves, others and the world around them.
We wholeheartedly believe it takes a village to raise a child and we hope you agree that our village is special. A baby in our family will be showered with love and cuddles, raised in a caring and safe environment, motivated and supported in their passions and loved unconditionally throughout their lives. We know how much you love your baby and we would love for you to be a part of this village, if you are willing and able.

Our Story…
Our story together began nine years ago when we met at the school where we were teaching. After 4 months we were in a committed relationship and started talking about our hopes and dreams for the future. Children were at the forefront of how we pictured ourselves growing old together, surrounded by a big family. We both grew up in a warm, loving family and wanted no different for our own lives. After two years we were engaged and a year later, married.
Our Adventures…
We are both energetic with a zest for life and so celebrations such as birthdays, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas are embedded in our family traditions. We look forward to continuing these celebrations and traditions with our own children. We have had some amazing trips to beautiful savannas, oceans, lakes and mountains. During our married life of adventures, we have pictured having children with us many times and how much joy we would bring to each other’s lives. We have enjoyed many trips around Europe, Asia, visits to Sri Lanka in support of an orphanage and trips throughout the USA and Africa.
Our Life Together…
Kim is a Grade 3 teacher and Dave is the assistant principal of the same school. Our school is only a 4 minute bike ride from our home. We spend a lot of our time camping and on the beach. A typical camping trip includes watching the sunset, enjoying a barbecue followed by a bonfire and waking up with the sunrise. We always include an activity and as a family we love scuba diving, fishing, playing golf, paddle tennis, stand up paddling, rock climbing, sailing and hiking.
In the evenings, during the week, you’ll find us at home having dinner together at the table each night, followed by a board game or watching a series on TV, chatting about our days, phoning our extended families and walking the dogs. We have a cozy home and we love to work in our garden. We live in a secure estate with parks, pools and playgrounds with many children riding their bikes, playing soccer, tennis and swimming.
Thank you again for your willingness to consider trusting your child to our care. We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to adopt and believe that it is the right decision for our family. We plan to raise our adopted child knowing how much they are loved by their birthparent(s) and adoptive parents.
