Chris & Chris

Dear Birth Parent,

Thank you for choosing to pursue adoption. We admire your courage and are so grateful to be considered as potential adoptive parents. As a gay couple, adoption has always been our first choice for growing our family. We have so much love to share! We hope this gives you a glimpse into our lives so that you can make the best choice for you and your baby. No matter what you choose, we wish you all the best!

About “The Chrises”

We are Chris W and Chris J. Our friends and family call us “The Chrises.”

We met in January of 2015. On our first date, Chris W was getting over a cold and was congested all through dinner. Later that night, Chris J got a bloody nose. On our second date, Chris W was two hours late because he got stuck in rush hour traffic and then got lost trying to find Chris J’s house. On our third date, Chris J stayed over at Chris W’s house and had a major allergy attack from Chris W’s cats.

Even though our first dates had mishaps, we kept wanting to see each other. By the fourth or fifth date, Chris W knew we were going to end up together. We moved into our first apartment in 2015. Chris J adjusted to living with cats. Chris J proposed while we were on a trip to San Diego in 2016. We had a perfect wedding that more than made up for our imperfect first dates. We bought a house and got two corgis. Now, we are ready to grow our family even more!

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a historic Victorian home on a tree-lined street. The house is two stories with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our favorite room is the study/den which has lots of books, art, and toys.

We have two dogs, a Pembroke corgi and a Cardigan corgi. We also have two tabby cats. All our pets are fully vaccinated, well-trained, and kid-friendly.

Our city is very safe and has great public schools. The elementary school is a block away and the local library is a block-and-a-half away. There are parks at both ends of our street. Our neighborhood is economically and racially diverse with lots of different types of households.

Our Hopes for Adoption

We have always dreamed of being parents. We live full lives, and we are ready to welcome a child into the center of it all. With a cozy home, two supportive families, and lots of close friends, we promise any child we have will be surrounded with knowledge, adventure, opportunity, and lots of unconditional love. And we want you to be a part of it too! We hope this gives you a glimpse into our world. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

We look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,
The Chrises
