Dear Friend,
We appreciate you taking the time to read our letter. We understand how important this decision is for you. We admire your strength. Our hope is that this small view into our family life will provide some comfort of not only what type of people we are, but also how important family is to us.
A few years back we learned that we would not be able to conceive a child on our own without severe medical intervention. Still we made the decision to go that route. After many attempts, we finally found out we had a baby on the way! Half way through the pregnancy, we learned that our baby would have Down syndrome. We were a little scared at first, but still so, so excited. As soon as she was born, all of our fears went away as we realized that no matter what, she was perfect!
Family is everything to us. It is what lifts us when we fall and what shapes us to become the people we are and want to be. We cannot wait to add another sweet little child into our lives. Our main goal, just like yours, is to provide the child with unconditional love, no matter what, and to provide the best life possible.
Allie has two adopted brothers, one adopted niece, and because of this, adoption has been a goal of ours ever since we got married. We are so very excited about the journey on which we are about embark. Please take this time to learn a little about our family. We pray that you are comforted and reassured in your decision.
