Dear Birthparent,
We hope you are well and we admire the incredible step you are taking. We are grateful for your act of love and generosity. We look forward to sharing with you all the joy your baby’s life will bring us. We have been married for five years and have always looked forward to starting a family. That journey turned out to be much longer than we expected. Infertility has been a struggle, but it has brought us closer together and led us to the beginning of this journey of adoption. From the beginning of our marriage we discussed the possibility of adoption, if the timing was right. Little did we know what life had in store, and we are now blessed to be starting this journey to grow our family.
The two of us met in college and dated for over a year before getting married. We are both teachers and enjoy helping our students learn and grow. We have two wonderful dogs who are our constant companions and help make our house a home.
We look forward to meeting and building a relationship with you in the years to come.

Jessica is the warmest, most genuine woman I know. She loves all things Disney, especially the theme parks. No one knows more about planning a Disneyland vacation than her. She enjoys her job as a 5th grade teacher and loves helping and interacting with her classroom crew. She can always find humor in life and perseveres when things get tough. Jessica will be a wonderful mother. She has a gift for connecting with children and will raise your child with love. I look forward to seeing her teach your child how to live life with joy, fun, and determination. There are sure to be plenty of mother-child dances in the kitchen, bedtime stories, and fun vacations in our future. Any child would be blessed to call Jessica “mom.”
About Austin, written by Jessica
Austin is a witty, intelligent, and caring husband. As a middle school social studies teacher, he is incredibly patient and deeply values education. Austin can also speak conversational Spanish and would love to become even more fluent.
Austin loves reading, writing, and watching movies. As his wife, I think I’m allowed to lovingly call him a ginormous Star Wars geek. He has been collecting action figures since a young age, and he would still like to add more to his collection. Austin has also taken his love of movies and history and has started creating YouTube videos about the historical background of Disney movies.
No one is more deserving of becoming a dad. Austin is looking forward to loving and raising a child, and I would love nothing more than to see him take on the role of a father to your child. His sense of humor, love of learning, and his kind demeanor make Austin an amazing husband and I know those qualities would make any child lucky to call him dad.
Milo and Winnie, our dogs
We adopted our two dogs from Rescue Rovers in 2018. They have become full-fledged members of our family. Milo was a little puppy when we found him. Jessica picked him up, he put his little head against her shoulder, and that was it. We brought him home and he became the self-appointed guardian of our home. He takes himself very seriously and probably imagines himself as a powerful watchdog, even though he hides under the kitchen table whenever the vacuum cleaner turns on. Winnie came into our lives a few months later. She was a shy puppy but she won us over with her beautiful puppy eyes. She loves her brother, loves us, and loves love. She is always eager to cuddle with us and is never too shy to ask for some love and attention. These two will make great and loving friends.
Family Adventures
We love to travel and experience new things! Some of our favorite vacations have been Disney World, Washington DC, Disneyland, and Williamsburg, Virginia. We absolutely love anything Disney, but also enjoy vacations where we can see historical sites. We always love looking for new places to go, and love trying food from local restaurants when we are on vacation. Some places we dream of going to someday are New York City, England, Italy, France, and Egypt. Though we do love going on vacations during our breaks off from school, we enjoy lots of fun time in our home town! We love watching movies, having date nights out, dancing and playing board games together.
Our Promise to You
We pledge to put your baby first in all that we do. Your baby deserves a loving home and parents who treasure him or her. We will strive to care for your baby, teach him or her good values, set him or her on the path of success, and make our home a sanctuary for our family.
We are very supportive of open adoption. We believe that a child will benefit from having connections and a relationship with their birth family. The more people to love the child, the better! Your child will know that their adoption plan was made with love and we want him or her to feel comfortable reaching out to you with questions. We are flexible in what an open adoption could look like and we want to create a plan together that you would be comfortable with.
In closing, we just want to express our gratitude to you. We are so honored that you have taken the time to learn a little about us. We have so much love to share and are grateful for this opportunity to grow our family. Whatever you may decide, we hope that you and your baby may stay safe and healthy, and that you may have all the answers, peace, and comfort during this time.
